A place where children meet horses and the forest
On our grounds in Krásnohorské Podhradie we offer real contact with horses and nature – from the first stroke, through caring for the animals, to led rides and creative workshops in the spirit of forest pedagogy. We believe direct contact with an animal teaches children patience, respect and responsibility better than any textbook.

Getting to know the horses
Meeting the horses and helping care for them on our grounds: grooming, feeding, getting them ready.
How to find us
You will find us in Krásnohorské Podhradie, within sight of Krásna Hôrka Castle. Please arrange your visit in advance. Tell us how old your child is and we will suggest what suits them.

We arrange dates by phone.
From what age can a child come?
We adapt our programmes to age. The youngest get led rides, and older children can help care for the horses and ride. Tell us your child’s age and we’ll suggest what suits them.
Do parents stay with the children?
Yes. Our programmes are for whole families. Parents stay with their children the whole time and can join in.
What should we wear and bring?
Comfortable clothes that can get dirty, and sturdy closed shoes. We’re outdoors, so dress for the weather, in layers in winter.
What if it rains or it’s cold?
We run creative workshops all year round, winter included. If the weather is really bad, we’ll agree on another date.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the programme and the size of the group. We’ll tell you the exact amount when you call.
Can schools and kindergartens come?
Yes, we’re happy to welcome school and kindergarten groups. We agree the date, length and programme in advance, based on the children’s age and number.

Through the Ekovan project we are creating a space that joins contact with horses, environmental education and rest in nature.
